The Canadian Filipino Net website is happy to announce its collaboration with Dahong Pilipino under its Community category.
Dahong Pilipino is the first and only Filipino business and community directory in Canada that has been published continuously for the last 23 years. Based in Vancouver, B.C., it was started by Leonardo “Ding” Bril Cunanan in 1991 as a business directory, a guide to reaching the Filipino market in B.C. Since then it has evolved into a community and business directory serving Filipino Canadians in general, whether they are business entrepreneurs, newly arrived immigrants or long-time residents.
By expanding its coverage of Filipino businesses and community development over the years, Dahong Pilipino has become an effective guide for Filipinos and other residents of B.C. searching for names, addresses and phone numbers of Filipino businesses, professionals, resources and community organizations.
Today, Cunanan continues to serve as editor of Dahong Pilipino with his son Leonardo O. Cunanan Jr. as president and publisher. In 2012, Dahong Pilipino went digital and started an online edition in addition to its traditional print version. Its website provides an optimal viewing and interaction experience – easy reading and navigation to access business products, services and current events in the Filipino community in Canada and developments back home. Its list of Filipino organizations is regularly updated to serve as a helpful networking tool for the activity that requires community support.
