December 1, 2025 - Canadian Foodgrains Bank is partnering with the Canadian federal government in a seven-year program aimed at reducing disaster risk in the Philippines.

November 1, 2025 — The atmosphere inside Saint Monica’s Parish auditorium in Richmond, British Columbia, was filled with joyful anticipation on October 18, 2025.The Cebuano Society of Canada gathered to celebrate the feast of San Pedro Calungsod and to witness the unveiling of a stunning new mural. The evening blended faith, music, and community spirit. It was a vibrant expression of devotion, hope, and Filipino cultural pride.

October 16, 2025 - Licensed professionals from the Philippines are invited to the fourth Filipino Canadian Professionals Convention on November 1 at the Improve Canada mall in Vaughan, Ontario.

September 1, 2025 - Six not-for-profit groups in the Philippines will receive grants from the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) this year. The CFLI is a competitive grants program run by the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines that provides direct financial support for small-scale, high impact projects that promote inclusive and accountable governance in areas such as human rights, gender equality, and climate resilience.

March 16, 2025 - Toronto-based not-for-profit Integrated Filipino Canadian Nurses Association (IFCNA) recently inked a memorandum of agreement with the Philippines’ Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) in Quezon City to provide a clinical enhancement program allowing Filipino nurses based in Canada the opportunity to receive training as recognized by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). 

November 16, 2024 - The Government of Canada recently partnered with Forest Foundation Philippines to fund projects that strengthen the Philippines’ climate resilience through mitigation and adaptation strategies. Negros Occidental, particularly the Malogo River and Sicaba River watersheds, has been identified as the program’s target site.

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver invites history buffs and interested film enhthusiasts to the screening of Unsurrendered, a documentary film commemorating Filipino WWII veterans.
