October 16, 2025 - Licensed professionals from the Philippines are invited to the fourth Filipino Canadian Professionals Convention on November 1 at the Improve Canada mall in Vaughan, Ontario.

Hosted by the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto, the United Filipino Professionals of Canada, Integrated Filipino Canadian Nurses Association and the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Toronto, the convention brings together Filipino Canadian professional organizations across Ontario representing architects, engineers, construction professionals, nurses, physiotherapists, accountants and teachers.

This year’s convention adopts the theme “Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: Empowering Filipino Professionals” and highlights the importance of supporting Filipino professionals in pursuing credential recognition in Canada.

The convention will open with a keynote speech by Philippine ambassador to Canada Jose Victor Chan-Gonzaga with welcome remarks from Philippine consul general in Toronto Kristine Leila Salle. A panel of representatives from various professional organizations will provide insights on accreditation of academic credentials and experience earned in the Philippines. In the afternoon there is a job fair featuring 15 exhibitors. Filipino Canadian Member of Parliament Rechie Valdez, Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Secretary of State (small business and tourism) will deliver the opening remarks.

The first such convention was held in 2022. To register, follow this link.
