August 16, 2024 - The deadline for overseas voting registration for the 2025 Philippine mid-term elections is fast approaching. 

The Philippine mid-term elections will be held on May 12, 2025 and overseas voters have until Monday, September 30, 2024, to register at their nearest consulates or embassies.

 

 

Eligible Filipinos and Canadian Filipino dual citizens in Alberta and Saskatchewan may contact the Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Calgary, those in British Columbia and the Yukon the PCG in Vancouver, those in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Western Ontario and Manitoba may contact the PCG in Toronto. Information on consular outreach missions regarding voter registration is available on the PCGs’ websites.

Candidates for the 318 seats in the House of Representatives and 12 of the 24 seats in the Senate will be on the ballot to form the 20th Congress of the Philippines. Every province, city, and municipality in the country will also hold local elections. 

All citizens of the Philippines abroad who are at least 18 years of age on May 12, 2025 and who are registered overseas voters, may vote for senators and congressmen during the overseas voting period which will start on April 13 until May 12, 2025.

To register, applicants must fill out the Overseas Voter Registration Form (OVF1) and personally submit the form to the PCG and bring the following requirements (original and photocopy) a valid Philippine passport or, in the absence of a Philippine passport, a certification issued by a PCG and, in the case of dual citizens, the original or certified true copy of their Identification Certificates issued by the PCG or the Bureau of Immigration.

Those with active voter registration status with complete biometric data may avail of the Office for Overseas Voting’s Virtual Frontline Services (VFS). This is a pilot program to receive requests for the issuance of overseas voters' certificates.
