Almost all of the Catholic churches in Canada’s dioceses are closed, and Eucharistic mass celebrations are cancelled since the Public Health Agency of Canada recommended the cancellation of in-person gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although these measures present a challenge to most Canadian Filipinos who adhere to Catholic faith, many have found solace and spiritual nourishment at their home through the mass celebration presented via livestream.

Many dioceses have risen up to the challenge, encouraging their own community to take care of their physical health without forgetting their faith.

Since everyone will be unable to receive the Holy Communion sacramentally, everyone is encouraged to receive the graces and blessings by expressing their desire to do so in what is called a “spiritual Communion.”

Here are few links and sources that may be useful for Catholics during this unprecedented times.
