Inspired by the successful launch of Canadian Filipino Net’s (CFNet) sponsorship and donation drive early this year, Emmy Buccat, Maple Bamboo Net Society (MBNS) director in charge of fundraising, has vowed to double by the end of this year the amount raised in the first six months of 2018.
MBNS is the publisher of CFNet. Assisted by Iona Santos-Fresnoza and Kaye Banez, Enmmy plans to apply for grants as well as recruit sponsors and donors to enable CFNet to continue publishing its digital magazine for years to come.
Based on CFNet’s Google analytics in Year 2, the website’s average unique visitors per month is 6,000 with a total of 1.5 million hits for one year. With the readership and subscribers growing steadily since it started a year ago, CFNet is opening its doors to partnership with businesses through sponsorship. Three sponsorship packages – Maple, Bamboo and Maple-Bamboo – will be offered with corresponding sponsorship badges.
A secure Pay Pal account has been created to facilitate the donation process for individual supporters. Simply click on the donate button to contribute as little as $5 and receive an email receipt at the end of the transaction. The names of donors will also be recognized on CFN’s website in a boxed alphabetical list of “Friends of CFNet” at the end of the CFNet fiscal year in June. The Donate button is also added to the twice-a-month CFNet newsletter emailed to all subscribers with this message:
