Consul General Gina Alagon Jamoralin has been in the Philippine Foreign Service since 1992, and has served in various capacities in the Home Office and several foreign service posts.

December 16, 2024 – The Filipino community in BC welcomed their new Consul General Gina Alagon Jamoralin  in town hall meetings held at the Consulate’s office   at 999 Canada Place, Suite 660 in Vancouver. 

 Another town hall  is scheduled for December 19  from 5 to 7 PM  for Filipinos to meet and greet their new ConGen who  arrived in Vancouver on November 17 to replace   Maria Andrelita  S. Austria who had  moved to Ottawa as Philippine Ambassador to Canada.

According to an announcement by the PCG in Vancouver, Ambassador Jamoralin is a seasoned diplomat with more than 30 years of experience in the Philippine Foreign Service. Prior to her appointment as the Philippine Consul General in Vancouver, she was the Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, where she spearheaded the activities celebrating the milestone 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Philippines and Indonesia which started in 1949.   

She also served as Consul General in Honolulu and Chicago from 2014 to 2020. As junior officer, she was assigned in Tokyo and Bucharest between 2006-2012 and 1996-2002, respectively.

In her three decades in the Philippine Foreign Service, she has proactively pursued initiatives to advance the interests of the Philippines and the Filipino Communities in her jurisdiction. 

Ambassador Jamoralin looks forward to engaging with the Filipino-Canadian community, Canadian public officials at the local and provincial level, and other stakeholders to find areas of collaboration and continue strengthening relations between the Philippines and Canada. 

In addition to Filipinos in British Columbia, Ambassador Jamoralin also serves  Filipino communities in the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
