November 1, 2026 — Are you passionate about writing, journalism, social media or digital storytelling? Canadian Filipino Net (CFNet) is looking for three emerging Filipino Canadian talents to join its paid internship program.
Supported by Canadian Heritage's Changing Narratives Fund, the six-month program offers hands-on experience, mentorship and an opportunity to help tell stories that matter to Filipino Canadians.
Journalism and Community Storytelling Interns (2 positions)
Interested in writing and reporting? Gain experience in interviewing, research, news writing and feature storytelling while working with experienced editors.
Digital Publishing and Audience Development Intern (1 position)
Creative and digitally savvy? Gain experience in website publishing, social media, graphic design and audience engagement.
No professional experience required! We're looking for curious, creative and motivated individuals eager to learn and contribute to Filipino Canadian storytelling.

Emmy Buccat is a Filipino Canadian writer and nonprofit professional advancing philanthropy in higher education in Canada, with a focus on equity and inclusion. In From the Thresholds, she writes reflective, analytic essays exploring Filipino culture, traditions, and community through the lens of first-generation immigrant life in Canada. The series lingers with questions and traces how our everyday lives unfold within the systems Filipino Canadians move through.
